Commuting

Have you thought about bike commuting, but you live too far or don't own a bike? Let's fix that by trying out a multimodal commute! You can then join Ride in the Rain Challenge 2016!

Meeting spot: We will meet at Rainier Vista. If you are coming on Burke-Gilman Trail, you will need to get off it because the trail is going through underneath the meeting spot.

Route: This is a ONE-WAY route from UW station to Belltown (7th & Bell). We will take the Burke-Gilman Trail to Fremont, hop onto the newly-done Westlake Bike Lane to South Lake Union (SLU). Then we will take a short stretch of surface roads from SLU to Belltown.

Who should ride: Everyone and anyone should give it a try! Because the ride starts at UW/Rainier Vista, you can take a bus there (how to load your bike on the bus), take Light Rail, or check out Pronto Cycle (map of stations). Those who work in Fremont or SLU and want to peel off the group early are welcome, too! Note: there is no Pronto station in Fremont.

Because this is a part of commute, let’s all be punctual. I will give a quick safety/route briefing at 8am and off we go!
