“On this international day of friendship, let us cultivate warm ties that strengthen our common humanity and promote the well-being of the human family” – United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

Some choose to see those who are different as an enemy. I hope that with this ride, we can tip the scale just a little bit by recognizing and celebrating our differences as friends. Therefore, let’s ride! You are highly encouraged to bring a friend and wear the colors that represent your country and/or your culture! A special (free) memento will be available for the first many riders. It reflects the desire to promote friendships between people and cultures through cycling.

Route: Starting at the Woodinville Sports Fields in Woodinville, we will head north into rural Snohomish County and stop in Snohomish at the Snohomish Bakery around mile 20. We'll head back via Paradise Valley Road, up over Hollywood Hill and back to the start location.

Expectations (please read): S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish/King County and be safe! Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical issue. We regroup near top of hills, but riders should be able to maintain the chosen pace. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group; there are no cue sheets available at the start. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by looking out for each other, having a positive attitude, not trash-talking others, having fenders when the roads are wet (please), enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! If due to weather conditions the ride has to be canceled by 6am, we will post in the comments section below. In that case the ride leaders will not be at the start.
