An easy ride, mostly along the Centennial Trail. We'll explore a bit of the area to the east of the trail, then reconnect with it  and follow it all the way to Lake Cassidy.  Coming back, we'll head over toward Lake Stevens before rejoining the trail at the Machias rest area.  On our return to Snohomish, we'lll stop at the Trails End Taproom for lunch and a beverage.

Bring money for lunch, water and snacks, and a spare tube and tools for flat fixing. Come early for the safety briefing -- we'll try to leave promptly at 10am.

Directions:  From Hwy 9 Northbound, take the ramp toward Snohomish. Turn right onto 1st St. We'll meet in front of the Snohomish public restroom at 1st St. and Avenue B., but please don't park right in the downtown area. I believe there is a designated parking area west of downtown at around 1st and Ave. E.

Comments

I checked out the parking situation, and there is plenty of parking on both sides of the street west of downtown around 1st and Ave. E.

It looks like it's going to be quite hot for this ride, so be sure to bring plenty of water.  We can refill bottles at Machias, but there is no water tap at Lake Cassidy.

Also, we'll make a stop at a Little Free Library on the outbound leg, so if you want to drop off and/or pick up a book, be preapred : )
