Thursday Tours Day: Marysville, Silvana, Stanwood

From Marysville we go north along mostly suburban streets, a little highway and some quiet rural roads to reach Stanwood, where we will stop at the Towne Center shopping area for lunch.

This is an almost-flat ride with one hill in the middle, a small one on the return, and could be a "recovery ride" for some or just a nice way to tour pleasant scenery for others.

The pace is moderate, but faster riders may want to take a cue sheet (a few will be available at the start) and go ahead.

Bike locks are advised for the lunch stop (plenty of choices).  Taking some snacks to munch along the way suggested and adequate hydration even though the weather will likely be cool.

Note that the meeting place is "Ebey Water Front Park," and it is in Marysville, not Ebey Island.  From Seattle: I-5 N, exit 199, turn right on Fourth Street, right again at Cedar Ave, left on First Street.  The park entrance is directly across (south) of JC Penny.  Restrooms and parking are available.

If the stated weather conditions cancel the ride or if there is ice/snow, the leader may not be present at the starting location.  Check back here on the morning of the ride after 8:00 am or call 425.273.4156 at that time.

Comments

I have CANCELLED the ride today because of steady RAIN.  Thank you for considering; hope to see you soon on another ride.
