The new Cascade Bicycle Center in Magnuson Park has its Grand Opening on Saturday, November 15th! Let's join the celebration with a Steady Paced, 31-mile ride starting from and returning to the Wilmot Gateway Park in Woodinville (we'll gather by the covered picnic table area (http://www.ci.woodinville.wa.us/Play/WilmotGatewayPark.asp) . We'll spend enough time at the Center to tour the new facilities, meet other riders, ride leaders, CBC staff and enjoy some light refreshments. You might want to bring some extra food for lunch/snack - we'll plan to leave about 1130 or as the group elects. The return route is very straightforward so if you wish to leave earlier or later, please just inform the Ride Leader.
Riders should print the cue sheet and bring a spare tube, tools and the know-how to fix a flat. Please arrive at the start by 09:15 am for the safety briefing so we can roll promptly at 09:30 am. Restrooms are located at Wilmot Gateway Park and we'll have options during the ride if needed at Blyth Park and Matthews Beach Park. Since this ride has significant segments on a multi-use trail, we will want to be considerate of other users, many of whom may not be on bicycles.
The ride leader will not be at the ride start should weather meet the definition for cancellation (steady rain or worse). Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments Section below at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start. If you have questions about the weather, please call 425-488-4567, preferably before you leave for the ride.
