NERD - Northside Evening Riding before Dark.
Inspired by MEETS rides, NERD rides will be held on Thursdays (when possible), at 6pm, from the SE corner of the Lynnwood Transit Center. The goal is to offer midweek hill training to keep up strength for the longer weekend rides.
Riders should be able to sustain a pace of 16-18 on flats, although we'll be riding the upper end of that. We will be riding on a mix of quiet neighborhood roads, and busy multiple lane roads, so if you have limited experience riding with traffic, be sure to let the ride leader know.
Riders should also know how to read a cue sheet, change a flat (and have the requisite equipment), and have a positive attitude! Please print a cue sheet and bring it with you. We will not be stopping to wait for mechanical failures so having a cue sheet is strongly recommended.
Rest stops: There are no planned rest stops as these are short rides. We do pass through a park with water and restrooms around mile 6 though, so we can pause briefly if needed.
