Youth attendance at adult classes

Youth attendance at Adult Classes

Our classes are designed for adult learners, but we recognize that child-care can be an issue for attendees, or there may be teenagers that are prepared to learn with more supervision.

No matter the class type, there is only one youth allowed per parent or guardian. If they become disruptive to the other students, the instructors have full authority to ask you to leave, and no refunds will be provided.

If you are going to be attending with ANY youth (registered or unregistered), reach out to adultclasses@cascade.org at least a few days prior to the class so they can let the instructors know.

Read below to find more guidance based on class type.

Maintenance Classes:

Any aged youth can attend with a parent or guardian. The parent/ guardian will be responsible for the entertainment of any youth that is with them, as this is class is designed for older learners. If you are working on one bike together, you only need one registration. Register for both if you will be bringing two bikes.

Essential Biking Knowledge and Basic Cycling Techniques

Youth aged 13 or older can attend with a parent or guardian, and both students should register for the class. If the youth cannot keep up with the pace of the group ride you will be asked to stay back with your student.
