Cascade Holiday Gift and Giving Guide

Riding my electric cargo bike is my favorite thing

‘Tis the season to celebrate the joy of bicycling. Looking for gift ideas? We offer some ideas for presents and donations that benefit Cascade, our brand partners, and important community nonprofits.

We are wary of rampant consumerism at Cascade Bicycle Club. As a recent study in the journal Nature Communications says, “consumption of affluent households worldwide is by far the strongest determinant and the strongest accelerator” of climate change, environmental degradation and many social ills.

Bah humbug!

But like it or not, the Christmas season is the biggest shopping time of the year. In light of the fact that many members are looking for bicycling-related gifts, we humbly offer some ideas that support Cascade and our partner brands, whose contributions power our mission. Updated in 2020, the new mission states that Cascade "brings people together to experience the joy of bicycling through transportation, recreation, and friendship.”

Bringing people together. Joy. Friendship. These are important sentiments as we enter the winter of this most challenging year.
