City of Shoreline is conducting a feasibility study of a visionary multi-use trail in coordination with Sound Transit light rail expansion. Join the city at an open house on Wednesday March 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Sound Transit's Link Light Rail is coming to Shoreline in 2023. This transit expansion presents the city of Shoreline with a unique opportunity to construct a safe, comfortable and convenient 2.6 mile multi-use trail running north from the 145th Street Station to the existing pedestrian and bicycle overcrossing at North 195th Street in coordination with the light rail expansion. The city is conducting a feasibility study on the trail and would like to hear from you! It is also an important opportunity to show support and ensure this project continues to move forward.

Join the city at an open house on Wednesday March 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. This will be a great opportunity to talk about the project with city staff and consultants, learn about the planned route, alternative and interim connections, and give your feedback.

More details

Trail along the Rail would create an opportunity to complete many connections to a wide variety of places people want to go. This includes the two new Link light rail stations, the Library, Ridgecrest Park, schools and connections to the Burke-Gilman Trail, the 195th ped/bike bridge and a proposed non-motorized bridge at N. 147th Street. It would also open up the possibility of connecting into Mountlake Terrace and creating a low-stress loop with the Interurban Trail in Shoreline. The trail will enhance connectivity, as Shoreline’s bike plan is implemented as the north/south trail will intersect with multiple proposed east/west routes, making I-5 much less of a barrier for people in these neighborhoods.

Attend the open house on Wednesday, March 15 to voice your support and provide feedback on proposed routes.
