Cascade Communications Director leaves, joins Ella CyclingTips

SEATTLE, WASH. May 11, 2015 – Anne-Marije Rook, our stellar Communications Director, announced that she is taking a turn in the road, and has accepted a full time position at Ella CyclingTips

CyclingTips is an online publication that seeks to share the beauty of cycling and to inspire cyclists of all levels to become better and more knowledgeable riders. Anne-Marije joins their women's side, Ella CyclingTips, as Co-editor and full time writer. She will be covering women's cycling locally, nationally and internationally.

Among her many accomplishments in her three years at Cascade Bicycle Club, Anne-Marije led the charge in rebranding the Club; overhauling the Cascade Courier; initiating and penning the monthly Women Bike column; and professionalizing the voice, look and feel of our organization. 

"Anne-Marije has been a vital part of Cascade's family for the past three years. She led the transformation of how Cascade communicates, and has overseen a complete overhaul of our look and style," said Elizabeth Kiker, Cascade's Executive Director. 

Anne-Marije has been a journalist for 10 years, and said she's excited to return to journalism full time. 

Her last day at Cascade will be Friday, May 29. 

"This position at Ella combines my love of writing and my passion for women's cycling. Paired with international travel, this is truly a dream job for me. I've been involved with Ella since its launch and look forward to helping the publication grow into a leading source for all things women's cycling," commented Anne-Marije. "With that said, I am extremely proud of the work we do at Cascade and I want to continue being part of that in any capacity I can."

"She is an excellent cyclist, an inspirational colleague and a dear friend. She will be missed; we will always be a huge part of her cheering section," said Elizabeth.  

Cascade will be looking fill her position soon.
