Women & Nonbinary Program

Our Mission

The mission of  Cascade’s Women and Nonbinary (W&NB) program is to provide a welcoming, encouraging, and safe cycling experience for  self-identifying women and  nonbinary cyclists (no matter their assigned sex at birth) of all  riding abilities. We accomplish this through free group rides, education, and social opportunities.

Who can participate in this group?

The W&NB program is for women and individuals who identify as nonbinary, including transgender women, cisgender women and transgender men. Please see definitions below for clarification.

Free Group Rides

Our ride leaders are supportive, positive and skilled. We welcome you to learn more about cycling, safe group riding habits and the joy of cycling. Our rides provide a social venue where you can meet and converse with other riders, have fun and get some healthy exercise.

Whether you are a seasoned rider or a newcomer to group rides, we welcome you and would love to have you join us!  Search the Free Group Rides Calendar.

These rides are created to hold space for women-identifying and nonbinary folks only. Riders who are cisgender men can support this group best by finding other appropriate rides on the Free Group Rides calendar and leaving this space for W&NB individuals.

Education Classes

Our W&NB educators are a supportive, positive and skilled group of cyclists and mechanics. We welcome you to learn more about all of our maintenance and riding class opportunities through our Adult Classes webpage. Courses run from March through November of each year and are priced on a sliding scale.
