Seattle Hempfest is happening this weekend, so please be aware of heavy pedestrian and vehicle use of the Elliott Bay Trail and Myrtle Edwards Park.

Leading up to the event, bicycle traffic will be shifted to the west path as Hempfest will be using the east path, normally used as the primary bicycle path. There will also be electrical cords and hoses on the path to support sound systems and food vendors. They will be marked but keep an eye out for these.

During the three days of the event (Aug. 16 - 18) bicycles must dismount. Bicyclists visiting the festivities should enter through the North entrance in Centennial Park to utilize the bike racks, or use the bike racks at Bay and Elliott. Attaching bikes to the fence at Olympic Sculpture Park is not allowed.

During break-down Monday through Wednesday, Aug. 19-21, from 7:30-8:30 a.m., Hempfest vehicle traffic will be suspended to respect morning bike commuters who use the Myrtle Edwards and Centennial Park.
