Month-long closure on West Snoqualmie Valley Road Northeast

Starting today, West Snoqualmie Valley Road Northeast between Northeast 100th Street and Novelty Hill Road will close for approximately one month for major repairs.

A 425-foot section of the road was damaged when the Snoqualmie River overflowed its banks during an April 2011 flood.  Since that time, the northbound lane of the rural roadway has been closed allowing for just one lane of traffic where the damage occurred.

During the construction period, the roadway will be reconstructed and a section of the adjacent slope will be rebuilt. The work is scheduled to be completed by the second week of August.

Road users should use Northeast 80th Street, Carnation Farm Road, SR 203, Northeast 124th Street and Novelty Hill Road as a detour.  Local access will be maintained on either side of the worksite for residents and businesses.
