What’s your idea of a perfect ride? A great route?  Manageable pace?  Challenging but not overwhelming?

Well, I think you’ll have it all with David Bordewick on this perfect leisurely-paced ride on Friday, March 8.  New and slower riders are welcome on this 30-mile urban ride through downtown Seattle with a West Seattle lunch destination.

If evening works better for you on Friday, Jeff is starting from Matthews Beach at 6:30 p.m., and taking a leisurely 15-mile ride north on the Burke-Gilman. This is a good ride for newer riders to learn about after-dark riding skills. Front and back lights are required.

You can even do both!

Leisurely-paced rides are 10-12 mph on the flats, figuring you’ll be a little slower up the hills, and a little faster down them. There are no cue sheets, so the groups will stay together, taking the hills slowly and regrouping as necessary.

If you haven’t been on your bike yet this year, here’s your opportunity to get in some miles and smiles!

Everyone is welcome on Cascade Rides, but if you are new, please read the Information for Newcomers and Parents.
