Wednesday, July 11, 2012 marks the one year anniversary of when Gary Strauss died from a very long, courageous battle against leukemia. In nearly 20 years, Gary rarely missed a day of biking whether it be around Mt. Rainier, Mt Baker, Puget Sound. Eastern or Western Washington.  and from coast to coast - Gary rode. When Gary was not practicing law, nurturing his family and friends or keeping up with current events, he was on one of his beloved, well maintained bikes. His love of all things bike gear rivaled only his passion for advocating bike safety and it was his environmental statement to leave as little a carbon footprint as possible.

Please join us on this ride, take one on your own, invite a friend to try a ride, or commit to donating blood or to writing a check to your favorite charity or bike club to remember a man of character, passion and charisma who gave generously of his time and of his resources to make the world a better place for generations to come.
