We are expanding our Board of Directors from 12 to 14 members, which means we are looking for candidates to fill the two open spots.
The Board of Directors of the Cascade Bicycle Club represents the voice of the members and is responsible to the membership. Its role is to ensure that Club resources are being used to the greatest benefit for all members as well as the larger cycling community. Service on the Cascade Board is for a three-year term, and we are seeking qualified, mission-driven Club members who will help us continue to move our club forward.
We need your help in identifying and recruiting Club members who would help build a strong and visionary board. Ideal candidates will have a history of service to Cascade and/or the cycling community, have specific skills needed by the board, the time and passion to contribute, and enhance board diversity in terms of, e.g., age, culture, geography, and constituent representation.
Nominate your friend, colleague, family member, yourself or anyone else you know who has passion for our mission and a desire to spread the joy and power of bicycling throughout the region.

Nominations for the next club election are being accepted through July 13, 2012. The Nomination Committee -- led by Board member Don Volta -- will contact nominees to schedule interviews over the period of July 16 to Aug. 3. Following the interviews the board will consider and approve a slate of candidates for the 2012 elections that will take place in October, 2012.
