Lords of the "Old School" come to Seattle Bicycle Expo

These are not merely bikes - they're works of art, hand-built just as they have been since the 1920s. If you're a sucker for classic steel construction, beautiful details, and tasteful paint jobs, be sure to join us at Seattle Bicycle Expo, Mach 13 and 14.

We're flying in master builder Ken Taylor of Jack Taylor Cycles in Britain. At 84, Ken spent 54 years perfecting the art of framebuilding with his brothers, Jack and Norman, who started the family business together in 1930. Their legendary bicycles have stood the test of time, and are still sought-after in the United States and England.

Joining Ken on stage for the Classic Framebuilders' Panel will be legendary Seattle master frame builders, Bill Davidson and Glenn Ericksen. Find out what makes a great custom frame, and learn about the revival of framebuilding from three of the very best in the business. This lively discussion will be moderated by Jan Heine, editor of Bicycle Quarterly.

Later that day, Ken will talk about racing, touring and building bikes in England in the 1940s and 1950s on the REI Stage. Don't miss this chance to hear from THE lord of old-school frame-building.

While you're at the show be sure to drop by the Classic Bike Show, featuring the largest display of Jack Taylor bicycles ever assembled in North America.
