Join us for a bike tour around the city of Federal Way and more on a 17 mile route at a Leisurely (10-12 mph average on flat ground) pace!
We will meet at the south entrance to the Federal Way Downtown light rail station (2216 South 320th Street, Federal Way, WA 98003). Parking can be found in nearby parking garages. Transit access is from Sound Transit's 1 Line light rail and a variety of King County Metro Bus routes.
Please be ready to ride at 10:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that’s done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
We will visit a couple of sites around the city of Federal Way and Redondo Beach along the route before ending back at the Federal Way Downtown light rail station. We will take water/restroom breaks at Panther Lake (mile 7.0) and Redondo Beach (mile 12.9), and there are restrooms at the start/finish.
The route is mostly on paved roads and trails.
Please note: this ride is expected to last around 3-4 hours (estimated finish around 1:30 pm).
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
