Ride Contact
Event has been cancelled.
... of 20 spots remaining
Registration deadline was 8/10/2025 6:00am
Let's meet at the the Palouse to Cascade State Park Trailhead at Milwaukee & Garfield in South Cle Elum. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
A fun ride through Cle Elum, Suncadia and Roslyn... a good follow-on ride if you rode this Washington/Idaho Rail Trail a day earlier.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup as necessary. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop in Roslyn at mile 13 for coffee/snacks near the bike shop.
Note: Part of the return out of Roslyn is hard packed dirt with about a 50 yards of heavy gravel at the beginning of that section (easy to walk bike through that little bit).
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!

- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
Event Announcements
I had a pretty traumatic bike accident on July 6th while riding in BC. Since then, my abrasions have been healing but the swelling and bruising hasn't gone away.
I thought I came out of this without breaking anything, but yesterday's x-ray shows I fractured my right patella. I also have something called an MLL that is basically a shearing between my dermis and from the fascia in my lower leg. That may need surgery, too. My doctor put in a referral to my ortho surgeon (who replaced my knees eight years ago). We'll see what his action plan might be.
That said, I won't be able to ride a bike for a while, at least until I see ortho.
I really hate to cancel rides, but in this case, I have no choice. I'm so sorry to give you this news.
