Southeast Seattle Bike Infrastructure Tour - Spring 2025 (Leisurely)

Join us for a bike tour from the plaza at El Centro De La Raza on a 15-mile route through Southeast Seattle at a Leisurely (10-12 mph average on flat ground) pace!

We will meet in the plaza at El Centro De La Raza (1608 S Roberto Maestas Festival St, Seattle, WA 98144). Bike access is from the nearby Beacon Hill neighborhood greenway. Parking can be found on nearby streets. Transit access is from Sound Transit's 1 Line light rail (Beacon Hill Station) across the street and King County Metro Bus routes 36, 60, and 107.

Please be ready to ride at 12:00 PM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that’s done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

We will ride on a variety of bicycle infrastructure on this ride and pause briefly to observe and learn about them. We will take a restroom & water break at Othello Playground (mile 8.4). There are no public restrooms near the start, but riders are encouraged to patronize nearby businesses like Tacos Chukis and The Station which do have bathrooms.

The route uses paved roads, trails, and concrete sidepaths.

Please note: this ride is expected to last up to 3 hours (estimated finish at 2:30-3:00 pm).

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
