Cascade’s MTP students and staff were honored to participate in The Woodland Park Gran Prix, which is one of the largest cyclocross events in the nation. Events like these are an important way for us to give students from Pierce County an opportunity to leave their neighbourhood and explore the wider world of cycling.

• Whether fixing bikes as an Outrider, rescuing and delivering food for the Pedaling Relief Project, or teaching kids the joy of biking, our 2025 Volunteers power Cascade’s mission.

• Bike buses are caravans of parents, teachers, and kids who ride rather than drive to school.
• Cascade is partnering with Seattle Public Schools to encourage more PTAs and educators to create bike buses this spring.
• May 7 is Bike to School Day–the perfect time to hop on a bike bus.

• Thanks to the Major Taylor Project and his own determination, a Tacoma high school graduate named Visett has achieved his dream of learning to ride a bike.
• Help more youth like Visett fulfill their dreams of transportation independence by registering for the Ride for Major Taylor on April 13. 
   

• We pedaled hard and won big in our mission to grow and advance bicycling in 2024.
• Thanks to your support (and votes), we saved the Climate Commitment Act, expanded youth bike education, won historic Seattle investments, delivered world-class rides, and reclaimed the title "most bike-friendly state."

• Individuals with lower incomes can pay less, and those with higher incomes can pay more.

• 19 Orondo fifth graders are the first students to earn their own bicycles from Washington’s statewide bike education expansion being implemented by Cascade.
• We attended a joyous community celebration at Orondo Elementary where students, families, and educators celebrated the launch of Washington’s Earn-a-Bike initiative.
• Earn-a-Bike and Let’s Go Across the State are funded by the Climate Commitment Act.

• For the second year, Cascade Bicycle Club is partnering with Western Washington Honda Dealers and their “Drive Good” initiative

• Swan Creek Park in Tacoma has numerous beginner-friendly mountain bike trails
• Major Taylor Project students spent a day volunteering with Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance on trail maintenance and riding the smooth and flowy trails
