Course Description
This interactive presentation over zoom is the first step for being a confident and prepared bike rider. This course is a prerequisite for our on-bike group classes (both Basic and Urban Cycling Techniques) but is also informative taken on its own.
This class is excellent for both beginner and intermediate riders as we will be covering some of the basics that are often overlooked (how often should you replace your helmet) to some more nuanced road riding techniques (where to position yourself to safely make a left-hand turn on a multi-lane intersection).
Learn about:
- Riding Materials- Bike fit, helmet fit, tool kit, lights, etc.
- Bike infrastructure
- Lane positioning and rules of the road
- Planning your route
Prerequisites: none! This class is great for new as well as more experienced riders.
How to Prepare: Take 5-10 min and think about what struggles you have as a bike rider. What information or practice do you need to feel more confident? We will be asking this question at the beginning of the class.
The Zoom link will be emailed out in your registration confirmation email and once again the day before class.
Location: Comfort of your own home, at a coffee shop, wherever works for you! During this class we will ask that your video is on and that you are in an environment where you can talk.
Class Size: min 5, max 20
