Kick off November Ride in the Rain with a cozy evening at Cascade Bicycle Club featuring the hosts of The War on Cars podcast. Sarah Goodyear and Doug Gordon, will read from their new book, Life After Cars: Freeing Ourselves from the Tyranny of the Automobile and answer audience questions.
Life After Cars unpacks the scale of damage caused by automobile dependency, the forces that have created our current crisis and are invested in perpetuating it, and the way that the fight for better transportation is deeply linked to the fight for a more equitable and just society.
Light refreshments will be provided. Copies of Life After Cars will be available for purchase from Elliott Bay Books.
