TREATS: Quick Ride around Tuscany, English Hill and Redmond (Steady)
Ride Contact
... of 10 spots remaining
We will meet at the Woodinville Sports Fields parking lot. Please be ready to ride by 10:00 am, when we will begin with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. There are restrooms at the start next to the ball fields. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Come join us for a fun ride through English Hill, Tuscany neighborhood, and Redmond. We will start on the Sammamish River Trail, and once we are warmed up, climb up into the English Hill area. We will wind our way through neighborhoods, and will then ride down a hard packed gravel trail, called fire road, eventually riding to the east side of Redmond, to our coffee stop at Whole Foods. After our break we will ride up Redmond-Woodinville Road and then down NE 116th to the Eastrail extension. This is another hard packed gravel trail, and will take us up to Chateau St. Michelle and back to Woodinville to the ride start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 12.5 at Farrel Mcwhirter Park, (If needed). We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Whole Foods in Redmond at mile 17.7 mile
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup at the top of climbs. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
