TREATS RESCHEDULED - Join us for an Eastside ride from the East Parking Lot in Marymoor Park in Redmond on a 34 mile route at Steady pace of 12-14 MPH!
This route follows a combination of trails and mostly quiet back roads on the Eastside. Approximately 6.5 miles will be on the Cross-Kirkland Corridor, which is a hard packed dirt & gravel trail. We will make our way north from Marymoor Park in Redmond via the Bear Creek Trail, past Farrell McWhirter Park and our first rest stop at 60 Acres. Continuing west towards Kirkland, we will take the Cross-Kirkland Corridor to our lunch stop at Metropolitan Market. We will continue through Medina, a rest stop at the Downtown Bellevue Park and return to Marymoor via the 520 Trail.
Let's meet at the East Parking Lot in Marymoor Park (no parking fee) at 10:00 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing and immediate departure. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Our goal will be to stay together but we will climb and descend hills at our own pace, regrouping when it is safe to do so. Please bring navigation aids, in case you find yourself substantially off of group pace and need to finish on your own. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms (no water in winter) are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 11, 18 and 24. Bring money for lunch at Metropolitan Market in Houghton at mile 17.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please be sure to have fenders if the roads are wet.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post cancelation at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
