Let's meet at the south end of Crestwoods Park Parking Lot. Be ready to ride at the time listed above. We will start with the required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate. If you plan to join enroute please contact the ride leader in advance to arrange for a safety briefing.
We'll ride north along the shoulder of Finn Hill to Woodinville where we will have a restroom break at Wilmot Gateway Park @ mile 14. The ride then continues south to the QFC @ Bella Botega for a 30 minute rest/food stop at mile 19.9. The return route continues to the start south along the Sammamish and the 520 Trails before turning west and then north to wander over and around South and North Rose Hill.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace and will regroup when necessary. Riders should be able to sustain a 12-14 mile per hour pace on the flats with a commensurate level of effort on the hills.
Restrooms and water are available at the start. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring are a phone, ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, the Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
