MORE: Monday Outdoor Riding in the Evening - UDistrict-Bill Dawson-Lake Union-Queen Anne-Locks (Steady)
Event has already happened.
... of 30 spots remaining
Monday Outdoor Riding in the Evening is back for a new season! We are excited to lead you through some new and interesting areas plus revisit some favorites.
Let's meet at Lower Woodland Park between the ballfields and near the porta-potties and rest room building construction (Green Lake Way N and 52nd St). Be there, ready to go at 5:50 pm. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
This week we make our way through the UDistrict to ride the Bill Dawson Trail for the last time until 2030! From there we wind past Lake Union and MOHAI to ride some of Queen Anne's finest hills. Upon reaching the Ballard Locks, we begin our route back to Lower Woodland Park. And as always our goal is to have fun, get some training in and be social. Did I mention have fun?
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will stay together.
Porta-potties are available at the start and at the Ballard Locks.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. The rides are sized to return before dark, but in the event of mishaps, it's always wise to have a headlight or headlamp with you. Taillights are always a good idea.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
Hope to ride with you soon!
