... of 10 spots remaining
Let's meet at the Blyth Park parking lot. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above (10am). We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
We will head out on to the Burke Gilman Trail to the Wayne Golf Course and ride through the gravel parking lot to start. Then we will ride up 96th to Juanita, down into Kirkland, and take the 520 trail over to Montlake. From there we will head south and ride up to the viewpoint on Lake Washington Boulevard before we start changing things up. We'll ride down E Lake Washington Boulevard to E Madison and stop at Belle Epicurean for coffee and pastries. Then we will take the Arboretum Trail back over to the 520 trail and cross the Montlake Cut, ride around behind the Husky Stadiums and back on to the Burke Gilman for a couple of miles before we move to Sandpoint Way. After the Sandpoint climb we will take back roads and a little bit of the trail until we get back on across from the Lake Forest Park Town Center for the ride back to Blyth Park.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. Please also have a copy of the route so if you are having trouble staying with the group you can complete the ride on your own.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
