... of 15 spots remaining
Let's meet for an Eastside Steady (12-14 MPH) ride at the East Parking Lot at Tibbetts Valley Park at 10:00 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing and immediate departure. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
We'll head through Issaquah, then north on the East Lake Sammamish Trail. We'll exit the trail so we can take in a few hills on the east side of the lake, then a quick downhill on Inglewood Hill Road to our midpoint stop at Peets in Redmond. From there, we'll head over to West Lake Sammamish Parkway and up 180th through the Tam O'Shanter neighborhood. We'll take the East Bellevue Greenway through the Crossroads area, then Lake Hills Blvd to Kamber Rd and across to the Eastgate area. Finally, a spin down Newport Way to Issaquah will take us back to the start point. NOTE: There is a construction zone on Newport Way near Zoo Hill that will require slow riding or walking.
Our goal will be to stay together but we will climb and descend hills at our own pace, regrouping when it is safe to do so. Please bring navigation aids, in case you find yourself substantially off of group pace and need to finish on your own. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms and water are available at the start. Our midpoint stop is at Peets in Redmond at mile 12.6.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please be sure to have fenders if the roads are wet.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post cancelation at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
