Free Group Ride
**CANCELLED** FRUMPS - Hollywood Hill, Norway Hill (Steady)
Event has been cancelled.
... of 15 spots remaining
Let's meet for an Eastside Steady (12-14 MPH) ride at the Southeast Parking Lot in 60 Acres Park at 10:00 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing and immediate departure. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
This route follows a combination of trails and mostly quiet back roads on the Eastside. We'll head north from 60 Acres to the Hollywood District, then up Hollywood Hill. A quick descent will take us to Wilmot Gateway Park and our first rest stop. Then, onto the trail and up Norway Hill, then down to the Totem Lake area and our lunch stop at the Totem Lake Mall. After lunch, we'll wind our way through the Rose Hill area, a brief stop at Grass Lawn Park, and through Microsoft campus to Bel-Red, 154th, and back to 60 Acres.
Our goal will be to stay together but we will climb and descend hills at our own pace, regrouping when it is safe to do so. Please bring navigation aids, in case you find yourself substantially off of group pace and need to finish on your own. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms (no water in winter) are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 8.3 and 23.3. Bring money for lunch at Whole Foods in Totem Lake at mile 16.2.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please be sure to have fenders if the roads are wet.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post cancelation at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
