Let's meet at the Bothell Park and Ride. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Join us for a 31 mile Halloween Fall Colors ride! Decorate your bike and/or dress up to celebrate Halloween as we experience the PNW Fall Colors. We will head onto the Sammamish River Trail to Woodinville’s Wilmot Gateway Park, where we will have a quick rest stop and then move to the road to ride up to Maltby Community Park, then East toward Echo Lake and Lost Lake before we loop back to Broadway. We'll stop for coffee at the Grounds Coffee, return to Maltby Community Park, and then ride back down to Woodinville and take the trail back to the Park and Ride.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and regroup at the top of hills and before any major turns as necessary.
Restrooms and water are not available at the start so plan accordingly. We have restroom/water stops at the Wilmot Gateway Park at mile 2.3, Maltby Community Park at miles 9.1 and 22.1, and stop for coffee (no restrooms or water) at the Grounds Coffee at mile 19.5.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. Mud flaps/buddy flaps, especially if they reach to 2 to 4 inches above the pavement, are a great benefit to the rider behind you when roads are wet.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
