FRUMPS: Log Boom-Redmond Ridge-Sammamish, plus Hoffman's Pastries (Moderate)
Event has already happened.
... of 15 spots remaining
Join us for a 50 mile social ride that rolls by the Redmond Watershed Preserve, Trilogy at Redmond Ridge, then through Sammamish before a stop at Hoffman's Fine Cakes and Pastries on the way home. The first half of the route is hilly with climbs up Hollywood Hill, NE 133rd St. from Tuscany to Trilogy, and Sahalee Way NE. The second half is flat from E Lake Sammamish Pkwy onward.
Let's meet at the Log Boom Park. Please park along NE 175th Street, not in the parking lot. We'll meet near the edge of the parking lot by the benches. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup occasionally but we won’t be able to wait long for anyone substantially off the pace. Please bring navigation aids in case you need to finish on your own, as the ride becomes self-led for those ahead of or behind the group. The planned route/cue sheet is at the link on the right. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms at Starbucks (mile 12.5), Redmond Ridge Park (mile 19), and Hoffman's (mile 37.7).
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
