... of 10 spots remaining
Do you think of Lynnwood as merely one giant shopping center and street after street filled with big box stores? You'll know better after taking this tour that goes past several historic buildings and includes a stop to see the last remaining car of the Seattle-Everett Interurban Railway. You'll learn about the Little Landers, the Alderwood Manor chicken ranchettes, and more. We'll stop for lunch at Whole Foods (about mile 17) before tackling the big hill back to our starting point. The route is mostly on the Interurban Trail, which spurred the development of the area. We'll also check out the light rail station, which will be open for passengers at the end of August, only 85 years after the last Interurban train rolled.
Let's meet at the parking lot of Martha Lake Airport Park and please be ready to ride at 10am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Bring money for lunch; water and snacks, and a spare tube and tools for flat fixing. Restroom/portapotty at start and mile 10, lunch break and restrooms at mile 17.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
