Eastside Tours Evening Ride - Burrito Night ! (Brisk)
Ride Contact
... of 15 spots remaining
Eastside Tours takes a different approach to rides...
We are mellow on the flat parts and stick to the 16-18 mph brisk speed on the flat. Hills are "climb at your own pace".
Our routes range all over the eastside, with an emphasis on roads that have less traffic. Sometimes we'll be on the Sammamish plateau, sometimes in Bellevue or Kirkland, sometimes east of Woodinville. Each ride takes a different route.
The target for the ride is 25 miles and 1500' of climbing, and most of the rides are pretty close to that. This is a hilly ride - you'll want to be ready to do climbs like the 520 hill from Redmond, Sahalee from Highway 202, or Louis Thompson off of east lake Sammamish.
The first ride of every month is a designated "burrito night", and we head to the Chipotle after the ride for food and socializing.
We don't spend much time on multi-use paths, but when we do we stay under the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
If you are wondering if this ride is for you, look at the sample rides on the website, or text the ride leader.
We meet at the south end of the East Lake Sammamish trail parking lot off of NE 70th in Redmond, just east of Whole Foods. Note that traffic on 520 can be heavy.
Please be ready to ride at 6:20 PM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
If the weather is marginal, the ride leader will make a go/no-go decision at or before 4:20 PM. Cancellations will be done online. If the ride is canceled, all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
