Road-n-Gravel: Fall City to Duvall (Moderate)

Let's meet at the Fall City parking lot off of 203, near the roundabout. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

This ride is a lovely route in any season, but will be especially nice with the trees turning. After a short, punchy hill up to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail, it will be road-to-rail gravel bliss all the way to Duvall where you may choose to indulge in a coffee and baked treat from The Grateful Bread. After a fifteen minute break for refreshments, we will return as we came for the most part until Carnation, where we will drop off the SVT to glide along butter-smooth farm roads in a gentle, flat loop, back to where we started.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently, particularly after road crossings. We'll also limit our speed on the SVT to the legal maximum (15 MPH).

Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms at 7 miles, in Nick Loutsis Park. We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at The Grateful Bread at mile 15.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
