Cascade x Sound Break Ride in the Rain Kickoff: Alki Social Ride (Steady)

Join us at Sound Break Bike House for a collaborative ride and social event with Cascade and Sound Break! We'll gather at 1:00pm with for coffee and chatting, and start the ride at 1:30pm.

Before the ride, we'll gather for a brief chat about the route and some safety reminders. We'll break into groups and ride at several different paces: Social (10-12mph), Steady (12-14mph), Moderate (14-16mph) and Brisk (16-18mph). We'll regroup occasionally to stay together. Restrooms are available at Sound Break, and we'll have one restroom stop about mid-way through the ride.

We have two route options for this ride. Both go to West Seattle and around Alki before returning across the bridge to Pioneer Square.

• Social & Steady: 15 mi & ~500 ft of elevation gain (Route Link)
• Moderate & Brisk: 21 mi & ~900ft of elevation gain (Route Link)

After the ride, we'll return to Sound Break around 3pm for a raffle, some social time and a few words from our advocacy team at Cascade. Light snacks and your first drink are free, with additional food & beverage available for purchase at Sound break.

If the weather is rainy, please bring fenders if you have them! Also bring a flat kit, phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. The event is on rain or shine, and you're welcome to join to hang out at Sound Break if you'd rather not ride.
