Route: Come, have fun, converse and enjoy this social bike ride along the Burke Gilman Trail. The terrain is flat.
Pace: Steady Pace
Cue sheets: No cue sheets provided. Stay together ride. This is a one-way ride. Feel free to return at your own time by your own route.
Fenders: If the riding surfaces are wet, please come equipped with fenders long enough to keep the person riding behind you dry or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Ride start: We meet at the 10:00 a.m. Please be ready to ride at 10:00 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate. Note: Water and restrooms are available at the start and Log Boom Park and at Matthews Beach. We plan to arrive at Matthews Beach around 10:45 am in time for the live music.
Be Prepared: Be prepared if you have a mechanical problem e.g. flat tire or have a rescue plan, e.g. bus pass (ORCA card).
Parking: Free bicycle corral at Matthews Beach
Weather cancellation: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride location.
