Family and Me Bike Ride (Easy)

Let's meet at the Snoqualmie Valley Trail Parking Lot located at 4261 356th Dr SE, Fall City, WA 98024. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above.  This is a small gravel parking lot that will get us onto the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

This ride is designed for young grade school children. A family member needs to come with the child to supervise the child. 

Please print and complete the parental consent form and provide this to the Ride Leader at the ride start, or email it to the Ride Leader before the ride. All minors must have a waiver filled out by a parent or guardian, regardless of how the minor is participating. This includes but is not limited to minors riding on: attached trailers, trail-a-bike, or frame/rack-mounted child seats. Families that show up without a completed waiver for each participating child will be asked not to participate.

We will learn about safety rules, practice staying on the right side of the trail, keeping our distance from other bikes, and more. The trail has little traffic. At mile 2.3 we will stop at a large bridge. If children are hungry or thirsty, this is a good time to have a snack and water. We will continue a little farther to look at a tunnel. Then, we will turn around and return to our cars. 

This trail is on packed gravel. The bike needs to have large tires to ride on gravel. Small skinny road bike tires will not work. No motorized assisted children's bikes are allowed on this ride. 

We will stay together, stopping if necessary.  We'll also limit our speed on the multi-use paths to 15 MPH or under. 

Restrooms are not available at the start.  

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.

Remember to bring helmets, including helmets for any children. 

After the ride, I will be going to MOOO! Ice Cream in Fall City, WA. Others are welcome to join.
