Free Group Ride
Gravity at Stevens Pass (Brisk)
... of 6 spots remaining
Registration deadline is 7/11/2026 9:00am
Let's meet at the bottom of Hogsback chair lift at Stevens Pass. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
In order to ride the chairlift, you must purchase a ticket or pass from Stevens Pass. Riding up their service road is strictly prohibited. An all-day ticket will be approximately $71 + tax for an adult. A discount for military is available.
Stevens Pass is a great place for beginners and people who love to jump. Trails are well taken care of and jumps are built nicely. There are no gap jumps to fall into. Because the trails are in nice condition, I've seen very happy senior riders. There are a few green circle trails that many new riders find to be a good starting point. Then there are some really fun and flowy blue trails. Of course there are a couple tech trails to raise your blood pressure as well. Let's plan on riding the green circle trails for a couple laps and then progress from there until the last remaining rider has met their limit. The ride is advertised to be an hour long but you may brake off early to ride trails more your comfort level or if riders want to keep riding together afterward, that'll be great too. Typical "Pre-ride, Re-ride, Free-ride" mentality will be our standard. This is a great opportunity for kids, parents, and grandparents to ride together.
As far as equipment goes, Stevens Pass's website only mandates a helmet. However, it is recommended you have these as well:
Full-face helmets, gloves, padding and/or body armor, and closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended. Bicycles with suspension will provide a smoother ride in general. I recommend no less than 110mm of travel in the front.
Most riders who get tire flats have done so because they've underinflated their tires. I recommend you bring a spare tube, tools, and a bike pump to leave in your car just in case.
We will descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently.
Restrooms are available at the start and at the top of the chairlift. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 5.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
