... of 10 spots remaining
We’ll gather at the northeast corner of the Magnuson Park Public Parking Lot (see the location map above). Please arrive ready to ride at the posted start time. A required safety briefing will begin shortly before departure, and all riders must attend to participate.
Rainier, Roses & Arias is a relaxing 20-mile spin through North Seattle, linking Lake Washington shorelines, neighborhood greenways, blooming gardens, and favorite viewpoints. Late June is peak rose season, and weather permitting, we’ll be treated to views of Mt. Rainier along the way. We'll even throw in a few off-road segments through Magnuson Park, Union Bay Natural Area, and the Matthews Beach corridor, adding just enough dirt and adventure to complement this otherwise leisurely tour.
Stop at Cafe Javasti for an optional coffee or lunch before the Wedgwood NEST for Opera to the Salon. This free outdoor Concert Truck® performance begins at 12:00 PM, lasts approximately one hour, and features music by Mozart, Schubert, Stravinsky, and other celebrated composers.
We’ll regroup frequently to keep the ride together, but cyclists should be comfortable climbing and descending at their own pace. We will observe all posted speed limits on multi-use paths—typically 15 MPH and occasionally 10 MPH—to ensure a safe and respectful ride for everyone.
🚴 Did You Know?
The Concert Truck® was founded in 2016 by concert pianists Nick Luby and Susan Zhang, who transformed a 16-foot box truck into a mobile concert hall complete with a grand piano, lighting, sound system, and fold-out stage. In partnership with the Seattle Chamber Music Society, it brings world-class musicians directly to parks, schools, neighborhoods, and community gathering places—anywhere a truck can park!
Special thanks to Max Ackermann, our Ride Programs Manager, for tipping us off to this unique musical experience.
Restrooms are available at the start, Laurelhurst Playfield (5), and Cafe Javasti (17).
Please bring:
