Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer. Be there, ready to roll at 6:00pm. Come early if you need to buy anything or use the bathroom before the ride We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
HOOA! We ride Hills Out Of Auburn at a vigorous pace. Wednesdays are Short High Intensity Training rides with plenty of opportunity to cook up some lactic acid and burn in it! We attack hills, rollers, and coveted segments and descend hills like we stole the bike we're sitting on. This ride starts out with a quick warm up and long slog of climb up Auburn Black Diamond Road. Then we'll play around in the Lake Morton, Lake Sawyer, Black Diamond and Lake Holmes areas.
We SEND-IT up and down the hills and and regroup, and then SEND-IT again to the next regrouping, and so on.
Caffeinate yourself before the ride, because there are no coffee stops. We'll stop one time at Ten Trails to tinkle, choke down a snack, and fill our bottles (mile 22)
We plan on being back well before sunset, but bring lights just in case.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: Regardless of weather, we're riding. If there are unforeseen hazards or other unexpected events, we will reroute and ride on. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leaders will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
This is the Short High Intense Training you've been waiting for. HOOA!
