Post Doc Lake Samm Slow Roll (Steady)
Registration Now Open
... of 15 spots remaining
Let’s meet in front of the Postdoc Brewing taproom in Redmond at 6:00 PM. Be there, ready to go at 6PM SHARP. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Not epic. Not heroic. Just a SLOW, STEADY (12–14 mph on flats) spin around Lake Sammamish, ridden counterclockwise. The ~23-mile loop is paved and includes some climbing. We’ll head south along the west side of the lake on local roads and bike lanes. We'll head east across the south end of the lake on a long gentle downhill. We'll then turn north on the East Lake Sammamish Trail and continue to Marymoor Park and the end of our ride.
We will climb and descend at our own pace, and we will regroup at tops & bottoms of hills.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 13.9 at the Sammamish State Park
A working white headlight and red rear tail light (steady mode preferred) are required to participate.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
After the ride, we’ll optionally regroup at Postdoc Brewing to hang out and grab something to eat or drink.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
