Lowell Riverfront to Snohomish & Everett (Steady)

Let's meet at the Lowell Riverfront Trail parking lot in Everett. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

This ride has views of Puget Sound, the Olympics and Cascades in Everett and along the Snohomish River.  There is a mandatory cafe stop at Seas the Day on the Everett waterfront for drinks and snacks, with the best area to eat next door to the cafe in the public area with seating in the Port of Everett Administrative building.  So, bringing your own food is an easy option.  This route is mostly flat along the Snohomish River, but has a minor hill in the town of Snohomish, some minor hills in Everett and one to get your heart pumping toward the end of the ride.

Parking: Parking is free in the gravel lot at Lowell Riverfront Trail.

Restrooms: Restrooms are available at the start with a sani-can or 100-yard ride down to the boat launch if needed.  We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at the Port of Everett Administrative building next door to Seas the Day cafe.

Pace: We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently.  We'll also limit our speed on the Lowell Riverfront Trail at the ride start below the legal maximum as this is frequently used by parents with children.

Navigation: The planned route sheet is at the link labeled Route Map. Please, bring navigation aids in case you need to finish on your own, as the ride becomes self-led for those who choose to ride ahead of or behind the group. 

Cancellation Process: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above, if smoke levels are too high, or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.

Repairs: Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat and the know-how to take care of your own flats and minor mechanical problems.
