Come join us on Eastrail for a special celebration of the Crosslake Connection of Sound Transit's 2 Line. Eastrail Partners will be joining us for this event. This will be a one-way casual ride along a 4 mile stretch of Eastrail to enjoy the festivities at Spring District Station, with an option to continue on to events at other stations.
Let's meet at the Feriton Spur Park. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will gather at 9AM with snacks and coffee provided by Eastrail Partners. After the required safety briefing, and roll out at approximately 9:20AM. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Sound Transit is celebrating festivities at stations along the line. We will ride together at a casual pace along the 4 miles of Eastrail to reach the Spring District Station. At Spring District, Wright Runstad is hosting an event including a petting zoo, food trucks, vendor booths, and Meta's Market Hall.
After Spring District, riders may choose to make their way back to Feriton Spur Park on their own, or continue on as a group to Redmond Technology Center Station and Marymoor Village Station. Microsoft is hosting free food and coffee from Dote at the Redmond Technology center station. Seattle Orcas Major League Cricket are hosting a photobooth, DJ, a chai drink truck, along with a chance to learn more about playing cricket.
After Marymoor Village, riders may choose to make their way back to Feriton Spur on their own, or ride back to the Spring District on the Link 2.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup occasionally. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).
Restrooms, snacks, and coffee are available at the start.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
