Tacoma - Puyallup Loop, with a stop at Farm 12 (Moderate)

Let's ride from Tacoma to Puyallup and stop for coffee and/or or pastry mid ride at Farm 12. Our route will take us through North Tacoma, Hilltop, Lincoln International District, Sumner, the Port of Tacoma and Stadium District. We will descend STP (Seattle to Portland) hill into Puyallup and will also explore some of Tacoma's Pipeline trail and cross the 11th street bridge. 

Start location is Narrows Park and Ride parking lot near War Memorial Park. Be there, ready to go, at the time listed above. We will start with required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

No public washrooms at the start location - nearby businesses may let you use their washrooms (there's a Starbucks on 6th ave between Pearl and Mildred) and we can stop at Kandle Park, just a few miles into the ride, for washrooms there if needed. Plenty of free parking at start location. 

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace -  we will regroup after hills and before turns if we are spread out. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
