HOOA! Pastry to Pastry Metric Century (Brisk)

Let's meet at Bakery Nouveau in Burien.  Be there, ready to go at 9:00. Park in the lot east of the bakery. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

HOOA! The ride this weekend starts with a descent and climb out of Three Tree Point. Then we tour through Normandy Park. Then we work our way over to Mercer Island and Alki. Then we head south to Lincoln Park to find Bruun Idun, the Troll! And then Back to the Bakery for a fine sandwich, coffee and pastry, YUM!

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and regroup.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH). This route also includes a half mile of well packed gravel path.

Restrooms are available at the start for paying customers. The bakery opens at 7:00. We will stop along the way for restrooms at mile 12 on the Green River Trail, mile 20 at Gene Coulon, mile 40 at the end of the Mercer loop, and mile 50 on Alki.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a couple of snacks. There are no scheduled snack breaks. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If its raining, we will cancel the ride. If there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, we will reroute in real time.  If we cancel the ride, all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
