Let's meet at the Auburn Fred Meyer in the northwest parking area. Be there, ready to go at 9:00. You can come early to use the bathroom and buy snacks and drinks. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
HOOA! We start out with flat warm up before we climb to Lake Tapps, Allen York Park for a bathroom break (Mile 12) Then we work our way south to find the Foot Hills Trail in South Prairie for our only snack break (just in case mile 19). Then we do the "hard" part of the trail. After we cross the Carbon River, we will head back north through the Osceola and drop down to Green Valley (last porta potty mile 36) Then Climb to Lake Morton for a quite loop around. And finally the Lake Holmes rollers before we drop down "WHEEEE!" a twist turvy descent.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and then regroup to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: Weather looks pretty good, but if its raining, we'll cancel. If there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, we will reroute in real time. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join the suffer! HOOA!
