North Lake Washington Loop Clockwise (Moderate)

Join us for a night ride around the North Lake Washington Loop, traveling clockwise at a moderate pace of 14 to 16 mph. We’ll start at the QFC parking lot at the top of Juanita Drive, riding down Juanita Drive and through Juanita Bay, Kirkland Marina, the SR-520 Bridge Trail, UW Stadium, and the Burke-Gilman Trail.  

Please be equipped with a working white headlight and red rear tail light (steady mode preferred) which are required to participate.

Let's meet at the top of Juanita Drive at the QFC parking lot facing Juanita Drive located at 14130 Juanita Drive Northeast in Kenmore. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

We will stay together and regroup often at the top of hills.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).

Restrooms and/or water: The start will have restrooms and water at the QFC. There are restrooms and water at the Kirkland Marina about mile 5.5, Metropolitan Market about mile 16.5 and possibly at Log Boom Park about mile 24.5.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. 

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
