... of 15 spots remaining
Join us for a scenic mega loop showcasing Lake Sammamish and Lake Washington! We’ll socialize, ride hard, and take in beautiful waterfront views along the way. A coffee and food break is planned at the PCC Market in Issaquah around mile 26. This ride is a mix of paved trails and roads, starting at Log Boom Park in Kenmore. We’ll ride portions of the Burke-Gilman Trail, Sammamish River Trail, Lake Sammamish Trail, and the I-90 Trail. We’ll reward ourselves with several brief stops as needed for rest, water, and bathroom breaks. This is a Moderate pace of 14 to 16 MPH.
Let's meet next to the restrooms at Log Boom Park located at 17415 61st Ave NE in Kenmore. Please do not park your car inside the park gate. Instead park outside the gate on NE 175th St which is along the Burke Gilman trail. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
We will stay together and regroup often at the top of hills. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).
Restrooms and water: The start will have water and restrooms at the Log Boom Park. There are restrooms and water at the Wilmot Gateway Park about mile 6, Sixty Acres about mile 10, Sammamish Landing Park about mile 16, PCC Market about mile 26, Aubrey Park about mile 37, and Metropolitan Market about mile 47.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
