Let's meet at the Kimball Park and Ride. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
This social ride is a send off for 2025, something my German soul needs to do. Whatever ups and downs this year has given you, there are plenty ups and downs on this route to, symbolically, overcome them.
There will be doughnuts!
Speaking of ups and downs, we will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and re-group at the top of the hills. There will be many re-groupings.
We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 13.5 at the Arletta corner store.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card, water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!

- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.

Event Announcements
Hello brave New Year's riders!
I have an updated route that will avoid a few concerning areas. There still is a lot of debris on the shoulders. Due to this, the route has quite a bit less elevation gain. Could I have found a route with the same amount of climbing? Yes. Did my body cheer me on to do so? No.
I am a slow climber and hope that the 20 miles, vs 25 miles will also get us to finish at a reasonable time.
